How radioactive activity conversion works

Radioactive activity measures nuclear transitions per unit time. One becquerel is one transition per second. Curie-based units describe the same physical quantity and convert directly to Bq; activity is not the same quantity as absorbed dose or dose equivalent.

Bq measures activity, not dose

Becquerels, curies and disintegrations per minute describe radioactive activity. A Bq value alone cannot be turned into sieverts with one universal multiplier.
